Vendors have been soliciting solar system sales to Lodi Residents. Please be aware that residents have the right to ask to see their City of Lodi issued sellers permit. Currently, there are no vendors who have applied for a permit with the city. Lodi Utilities neither partners with nor endorses any vendors.
It has been brought to Lodi Utilities' attention that there is a vendor aggressively approaching Lodi residents and falsely inferring a partnership with Lodi Utilities. It has been reported that, in some cases, the vendor has asked for bank account information. Please do not provide any vendor making a sales pitch with bank account information.
Lodi Utilities does work with all solar vendors to properly and safely interconnect to the distribution system. However, the utility has no requirement to install a solar system. As solar panel costs decrease, residential installations become more fiscally feasible. Lodi Utilities recommends acquiring multiple quotes and allowing the utility to assist in evaluating proposals, a service that is provided at no cost.
Lodi Utilities is a strong proponent of renewable generation resources, including solar generation. Utility customers are invited to use the solar resources section on the utility website or contact the utility's Energy Services Representative for proposal evaluation assistance.
